I was born in 1961 in Peterborough but grew up in London Ontario. I graduated from HB Beal in 1979 with a Special Arts Diploma then spent a decade working in the Graphics/Printing trades. I have been working in London as a professional artist for more than 20 years, and in the medium of Stained Glass for the last 10 since completing a 3-year apprenticeship with stained glass Master Ted Goodden. I exhibit regularly in galleries. I explore the interplay between Shadow and Light in my Stained Glass. In this medium I paint and fuse black vitreous paint onto coloured glass. Glass is a filter for light and light is a metaphor for spirit. For me glass symbolizes our body through which the light shines. I continue working with Darkness and Light using Sennelier soft pastel on black suede board. The play between light and shadow is metaphoric for the bittersweet reality of the eternal and mortal natures of humanity. Here is a gallery of selected images representing a fraction of my work. ENJOY!!
