Installed or Free-hanging

Stained Glass affects people!  It can take our breath away!  It is the jewelry on our heritage houses and personal expression in contemporary homes.  It is one of the handcrafts associated with quality.  In the same way that the glow of beautiful wood warms a room, glass makes the quality of light visible - altering the very mood of a space.  This is one reason it is in places of worship and has been used as a metaphor for Spirit or Soul.  It has also been used to commemorate events and people, those just born, married or who have left an indellible mark as they pass on.

Here are a few of the hundreds of commissions I have had the pleasure to create.  Every project presents unique challenges and opportunities!  If you have an idea, call me!

Dining Room windows - this photo shows 5 of the 6 panels - shown before the installation of the final panel, allowing you to see that the windows of the neighbour's house are only a few feet away!  In this case a trompe l'oeil vase of roses sits in front of Arts and Craft style windows that match the era of this home.

This family's love of butterflies is delightfully expressed in the upper windows of the Family Room!

I took my inspiration for the peacock feather pattern from the gorgeous ironwork of the original fireplace for these reproduction transoms between the Living Room and Foyer.

Coloured or clear, glass brings magic to the light that enters your front hall.

Many homes have narrow vertical windows beside the front door.  These are called sidelights.  Windows above doors and windows are called transoms.  Both are perfect places to install stained glass.  The glass can provide privacy without collecting dust like curtains.  The first thing you see when you arrive home can express YOU in subtle or exuberent ways.
